How Often Are Exchange Rates Updated?
All exchange rates on this page are updated every 60 seconds during active trading hours (Sunday 22:00 GMT - Friday 22:00 GMT). This ensures you always see near-real-time rates that reflect current market conditions.
Our system collects data from multiple forex market feeds and automatically:
- Fetches new rates every minute during market hours
- Calculates cross-rates for all major currency pairs
- Detects significant rate movements (≥0.5%) and generates alerts
- Updates currency strength rankings based on 4-hour price changes
- Archives historical data for trend analysis and charts
During weekends and holidays when forex markets are closed, the last available rates from Friday's close (22:00 GMT) are displayed until markets reopen Sunday evening.

How accurate are your live exchange rates?
We pull our rates straight from institutional forex feeds and what you see are mid-market rates.. basically the halfway point between what buyers want to pay and what sellers are asking for. Gives you a proper honest picture of where a currency actually sits but your bank or transfer service will always stick their own margin on top plus fees and bits and pieces so the number you actually get will come in a touch lower than what shows up here.
